Screen time obsession seems to be at its worst right now in the Krupsky household.  With wet, cold, rainy days we seem to be in the thick of it.  For lack of a better way of saying it: My kids are obsessed with their video games or with silly YouTube videos!  When we set boundaries, all they do is push and push and push, trying anyway they can to get some video time.  I share this because I think just like our kids, you and I have things we are obsessed with.  For me it is deer hunting season.  During the fall for the last eight years all I do is figure out ways I can hunt, and then think about the wind, the weather, my weapon, who I can take, what the lunar pattern is, are my clothes decent etc.  Now I am working on this obsession to make it somewhat healthy, but man it is hard!  What's your obsession?

Our faith gives us a clear picture that God's obsession is us -- you and me.  Think about this for a moment.  God is obsessed with you.  He has done everything He can to get your attention, to show you that He loves you, and to be in a relationship with you.  He has exhausted His resources that He has at His disposal (which are limitless, and He thinks about you all day long.  His love shows no restraint.  We know this because of Jesus.  We know this because He gave up everything to come to serve us and to die in our place.  He loves you, He loves you, He loves you, He loves you, He loves you.  Let me say it again.  Let it soak in.  HE LOVES YOU.  His love is beyond our imagination and it is without limits.  It is relentless.  This Lent as we meditate on His parables and focus in the cross there is no doubt about it, He loves you.  He is obsessed with you.  It is my prayer that we can continue to grow in our understanding of His obsessive love for us,and that in return He can become even more of our obsession.
