The stockings at the Krupsky house have brought some recent joy in our house. Two dollars worth of fluffy, fake snowballs in each of the kid’s stockings this past week has brought us lots of laughs, smiles, and excitement. I wish moments like these could last a lifetime. The truth of our faith is that joy will last an eternity. For now, we have moments and thank God for them.
In the season of Christmas we see that Jesus did bring joy, but not the snowball kind. What is joy? The most recent definition of true joy that I have come across is this: “It is a good feeling in the soul, produced by the Holy Spirit, as He causes us to see His work in our lives.” God created us to experience joy. He longs for us to have joy; more so that I long to see my children experience it. The truth of our faith is that He is working all around us, through us, and in us.
I pray this weekend that you are able to see His work, and that as you see His work your soul is overwhelmed with true JOY!
Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may come in the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
