Call on Me is an invitation to prayer; especially encouraging each of us to pray for others. The verse of the week encourages us to pray for everyone: “I urge, then, first of all, that intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.” - 1 Timothy 2:1. In the Bible readings this weekend notice Paul and Jesus praying for others in Ephesians 3:16-21 and John 17:16-21. Listen carefully to the Gospel reading, and you might even hear that Jesus 2000 years ago was praying for you and for everyone in your family. Did you catch what he was praying about for you and yours? Sometimes we are not sure what to pray about for someone else—Paul gives us a great example and encouragement—to pray that those on our prayer list “may have the power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” - Ephesians 3:18. All seven services at Trinity will invite you to Call on Jesus in prayer and to pray for others in your life. May God inspire us all to pray for others. Who will you be praying for this week?
